A small jazz group adds a classy touch to any environment or event. I am in contact with a wide variety of musicians, and am able to put together duos, trios or quartets on fairly short notice. These can be perfect for a cocktail hour at a wedding, or for the entire reception; for an anniversary party, or in a restaurant.
Duos can be made up of: piano and sax; piano and bass; piano and vocalist; piano and guitar; or any of a number of other combinations.
Trios can consist of: piano/bass/drums (the classic "piano trio"); piano/bass/vocalist; piano/bass/sax; piano/bass/guitar; piano/bass/vibraphone, or quite a few other combinations.
As you can imagine, there are many possible combinations for quartets and quintets. If you are looking for danceable jazz for a wedding reception, I would highly recommend at least a quartet (piano/bass/drums and sax or vocalist) - but even better would be a quintet.
