Boston Musical Theater (BMT) has its own website, http://bostonmusicaltheater.org/ , so you can check us out there. Briefly, BMT is a group I've played some wonderful music with, both around the Boston area and abroad. Founded by Charlotte Kaufman, this group performed a couple of concerts a year, each with a theme - not fully-staged productions of shows, but rather reviews; shows dedicated to the music of Frank Loesser, or to Johnny Mercer, or shows featuring music associated with World War II - you get the picture.
When i joined BMT, the musicians in the group consisted of vocalists Mara Bonde and David Ripley, along with instrumentalists Rich Appleman on bass and Bertram Lehman on drums, and me on piano. Eventually, we added more vocalists, and even special guest instrumentalists. As the group grew, I was inspired to write some arrangements for the group, resulting in some really wonderful 4-part vocal harmonies.
Charlotte passed on the reins to me a couple years ago, and I'm just now (as of the summer of '14) starting to gain some momentum toward getting the group going again.
Here are some links to some great videos of the group on YouTube.
